lldeney- the high gas prices are because of over-bidding on oil futures which was brought about by the sudden increase in production of cheap cars around the world and especially in china.. oil output has not changed.. gasoline is not worth near what it is selling for right now and will come crashing down to its intrinsic value of about $225 a gallon..

Well I believe it because Bush is still beating the drum for war with Iran, and usually the opposite of Bushspeak is what to believe. The pentagon says they don't have it. Kinda like reports from the pentagon and cia that stated Sadamm wasn't seeking uranium in Africa preinvasion.Hopefully these reports won't be ignored or manipulated like the Iraq intel.

FACT- The oil companies CREATED a shortage by shutting down refineries for the past 15 years, then we outsourced TONS of our jobs to China and India who in turn started using more oil also. Then we shut down Iraq's production for several years...
So- While there IS a lot of bidding- It's been lately because even tho there WAS no shortage, the prices were being kept artificially high. Traders seeing a good thing and HUGE profits, started bidding it up more. No investigations? Higher BIDS!
