my sister was sick one day and the teacher would not let her go to the nurses (it was a very hot day) she said no because she hought it was heat, well on the bus ride home, she throws up all over her friends in the bus!!!!
she rings the bell at our place crying, drenched in smelly puke! then we all got what she caught!

When I was in grade one (I think), I was misbehaving and my teacher pulled me onto her lap, pulled down my pants, and spanked me in front of the class! Obviously you couldn't get away with this in today's classroom but this was around 40 years ago when spanking kids was acceptable. 'Course I've been scarred for life!

In first grade, my first grade teacher died and we had a substitute the rest of the year. She was horrible. I was also diagnosed with extreme ADHD and began taking my medicine.

Frist grade teacher was Mrs.Chambers. I only remember she use to sing to us to teach us. There was a piano in the class room.
Oh and she also lived on my street so would go trick or treating on Halloween and get tons and tons of candy!

My teacher loved me. Only time I was ever teacher's pet. once, the class was in trouble. Field day was going on outside and the older kids were competing. And she took me, and noone else, outside, bought me a blue popsicle, and we watched her son run a race. the cadet teacher stayed inside and watched the "misfits" lol. that was my shining moment at 6.

Yes! Um, first grade, I also cried a lot because I changed schools and I missed my mom as well. I remembered being a baby the first day, but my teacher was awesome (Mrs. Sawyer was her name), and we played a game and she played this music so the whole class could do a butterfly dance. It was great. I also had my first crush that year (while other kids were concerned with coody shots lol!), with a girl named Molly, who was a cute little irish gal with red hair..*sigh* the good days haha.
