I watched Avril play her 32nd notes at 1 trillion bpm. That beats Petrucci's 16th notes at *only* 5 billion bpm, as stated in his Phycho Exercises video. (This is a joke, of course)
What I actually watched was Avril's version of Basket Case (Green Day). She's so idiot, she doesn't even have absolute pitch, the guitarist had to play the first note of the song so she could sing it.

Being a keyboardist, I don't think keyboardists need to try to be a guitarist to show how much they rock. Keyboards can do many things guitars just can't (and I don't mean switching sounds, because guitarists have pedals to do that). For example: You can play two different (even unrelated) melodies in a keyboard. That's actually more impressive.

well, i mean, keyboard instruments are one of the very few if not the only instruments that can handle both accompaniment and melody at the same time.
that's why sightreading for keyboard instruments is considered among the hardest of all sightreading, since you have to be able to read two lines of different clef at once.
