German Lessons Unit 2

Uploaded by: magauchsein
Video Description:
You can find all other Easy German episodes in the Language Section on our Website:
solarnet-international.org
The Language Situation scenes are supposed to complement any regular language course by providing a sort of language "street experience".
You can see "real" people talking their "real" language. They are all quite taken by surprise in this unusual situation (somebody asking silly questions) and they react very spontaneously.
Könnt ihr mir bitte den Weg zur
Beringsstraße sagen?
Can you tell me the way to the Beringstraße, please ?
Zur Beringstraße?
Sorry, keine Ahnung.
To the Beringstraße? Sorry, no idea.
Schade. OK. Tschüss.
What a pitty. O.K. Goodbye.
Hallo. Weisst du den Weg zur Beringstraße?
Hello. Do you know the way to the Beringstraße?
Nein, ich komme nicht von hier, .
Entschuldigung
No, i'm not living here, sorry
Schade, schönen Tag noch.
Gleichfalls, tschüss
What a pitty, beautiful day,yet.
Likewise, goodbye.
Guten Tag.
Good day.
Können Sie mir den Weg zur
Beringstraße sagen?
Can you tell me the way to the Beringstraße,please?
Kenne ich nicht. Wir sind nicht aus Münster. Wir sind nur Besucher.
I don't know. We aren't living here. We stay just for visit.
Na gut, dann wünsche ich Ihnen noch einen schönen Tag.
Well then i wish you a beautiful day, yet.
Zur Beringstraße? Ja, aber wenn ich einen Atlas bei mir hab
To the Beringstraße? Yes but only if i got a map with me.

I think some of them would know it. It's just that Bering sounds german and so could easily be the name of a steet in Münster. They just didn't make the connection in their minds. HeHe (I didn't do it either, I didn't got the joke till the guy startet about the atlas...) lol what an embaressement<--(haha modified the spelling of this word 3 times now, looks still wrong)

Our grammar is ... ( 2 months ago by CouchAthlet1988)
Our grammar is really complicated! In English you have to put an "s" to your word when it's plural, with a few exceptions (mouse-mice, man-men) etc.
But in German there are 11 standard forms:
No Change: Schüler-Schüler
Umlaut: Vater-Väter
E: Schaf-Schafe
Umlaut+e: Baum-Bäume
Umlaut: Buch-Bücher
N: Klammer-Klammern
En: Bett-Betten
Ten: Bau-Bauten
Er: Bild-Bilder
S: Auto-Autos
Doubling of last consonant: Bündniss-Bündnisse
+Exceptions: Atlas-Atlanten
Also funny: Der, Die, Das ;D

Wie kann so ein Käse helfen?
Array ( 2 days ago by binepescatore)
An Urffffes!!!
Das hilft, weil die gleiche Phrase staendig wiederholt wird, und man so Vokabeln lernt.
Und ausserdem wird das Ganze hier noch in einem realistischen Umfeld gezeigt.
So lernt man ne Sprache effektiv.
