I'm over it. I deal with animals every day. Right now I just feel kind of guilty. All you ppl that donated your hard earned dollars to the wolf project and it just gave us hunters another big game animal. But then again if it wasn't for hunters eforts and dollars helping with the recovery of the elk and mule deer populations the wolves would of never made the recovery they have.

lol, what's all the bickering about. the wolves killed a diseased, dying buffalo. just look at the buffalo and you know it would die in days anyway cuz of its sickness. the other buffalos were all buff, this one was so skinny and spines and ribs were so obvious.

what disease did it have? Wolves don't just pick on the weak. This a cow in the spring sheading off her winter coat. In Jan. this year I saw a pack of wolves kill a perfectly healthy bull elk. It was very brutal. The first thing they done was hamstring him so he couldn't run and by the end of day 1 had his nose eat off. Day 2 was more of the same bite and run exposing its guts. Day 3 bull still on its feet but very tired and weak left him get ate alive starting at its rump. Nice animals wolves r

the thing I like best about young ppl in this world these days is their fowl language and lack of knowlege they have. I once heard that people use use such language can't think of anything inteligent to say so that add curse words hide their lack of anything inteligent to say. can't run any futher. This buffalo was perfectly healthy. The determining factor of its death was a game of numbers. This is where I come in. Do you know what borax soap will do to a wolf. Let me give you another hint. DON'T PUT IT ON YOUR DOG'S food or you'll be in the market for a new pet.

4 all we no u might be lying. and i dont think a elk could withstand that for a few days. it aint about being nice when it comes to killing prey either. but if u knew about a wolves social bonds in the pack u might realise something. same with any social carnivore.

I have seen several large animals suffer for days before it is dispatched. The bull elk that I refer to for lasting 3 days was not unhealthy or old. He was in his prime. Its just that 8 aginst 1 are bad odds. Here where I live the economy depends on elk deer moose hunters to survive. I have learned about the wolfs social structure and can tell you when the alpha male or female is lost you the pack dispurses. Making a preditor of that size hunt rabbits and mice.

i never sed that wolves ALWAYS kill the old and sick, they usally pick them out for an easier meal. and there is a reason wolves hunt in packs, so they can work together to bring something down much larger than them. and a wolf cannot survive a long time on small things like rabbits for long, they use up to much energy for a small meal.

Wolves have an amazing social structure. They hunt big animals that they normally couldn't take alone because they're smart, they can -- and everybody gets to eat.
