He did, and he has. There's an interview where he goosesteps so hard around it. The reason he did that in an interview is because he knows that if he let people know that he was a Creationist nutjob, he would lose a large part of his constituency.
And again, this is not about what he believes, it's about him advocating supporting Creationism in schools. That's unconstitutional, so he or anyone else who claims that he claims that he's a champion of the constitution are lieing. Plain and simple.

Then he he has to support these schools with money. Taxpayer's money?
That would be no freedom of choice.
How about his policy states should regulate their own laws, etc?
They could stick to the constitution.
That is what it's all about.

Again, schooling is a STATE issue. He didn't dance around it, he said it point blank. Schooling is to be regulated by the states, not the federal government. And each state should decide for themselves if they wanna teach creationism, or evolution, or both.

The point is you have more control over the school boards in your community, and you know what is right and better than one centralize system in washington. PTA's and local voting is state issues that address local issues. Washington fails to do that everytime. Want something done do it youself. Want better quality, produce it yourself. Maybe you havent noticed but the schoolboards have been run by the Dept of Education for the last 30 years. Not schoolboards. We have no say so. Washington runs it. Its screwed up now. You cry about one subject of religon. 30-40% of people in school cant read. 45- 50% failures. When you have test in schools you are always going to have prayers.
