Keith took Bill's words out of context. I saw that show. Bill was responding to Edward's claim that 200,000 homeless vets were sleeping under bridges. He was rebutting that there are not many who live under bridges. He acknowledged that there were many homeless vets on the same show I believe. He even had the director of a large HV support project on his show to explain what was being done to help these veterans. Bill even supports the GI bill because he knows it's a problem.

i saw the show as well. he called edwards an idiot. i also witnessed an "apology" weeks later in which O'reilly admits this is a problem and says he contacted senator kerry to jump on the homeless troops bandwagon. o'reilly says whatever he wants to in order to embarrass his enemies, and when he gets caught lying, he backtracks and denies and boasts that he knew the truth all along. nice "no spin zone".

The TRUTH is that vets very often come home from their deployments with psychological problems, physical problems, financial crises, unemployment, family strain, and often have little or no support from the US government to compensate. Really, many want to live that way? Who? Who wants to live with physical and mental disabilities on the streets?

He was making a jest about how edwards was saying that every single one was living under bridge. That's pretty narrow. Also, his apology was the next day or the day after that. It wasn't weeks later. Nobody was talking about it weeks later. He then had someone on his show who told Bill how they were helping the homeless. Does that sound like someone who doesn't think the homeless problem exists. You need to pay attention more.

Definetely, Bill gives tons of money to several organizations devoted to helping vets when they get home. Wounded Warriors is one of the most famous. He has done many things for you and your fellow soldiers. He's a patriot, you are most definetely a patriot, and I salute u both.

Edwards used the bridges as his main exemple because mentionning all the different forms of homelessness was pretty useless and it would have taken the discussion off the topic that more than 190 000 veterans are homeless.
O'Reilly had to admit the existence of the homeless vets later after his comments created an uproar and after he realized that those numbers where also approved by the administration he supports.

Yes but his comments were directed more to Edwards claim that the Economy was the problem when it isn't. He didn't expect his comments to be taken so badly, but they usually are. Ultimately, it doesn't even matter how many HV's there are, it is what we plan to do about it. O'Reilly helps by donating to different organizations.

I've "experienced" homelessness before, Since I wasn't on Drugs, It only lasted about 2 days. The fact that they are vets is beside the point, their service in war is not to blame like these idiots think.
