The North Pole ice is melting at a rate of ~1% per year. In the summer of 2007, a south wind brought warm air to the North Pole for weeks, significantly reducing the ice pack. A situation will not be repeated this year.
The future Green Pole seems unavoidable. It wouldn't be the first time. In 2007, Dutch scientists discovered, 55 million years ago, the North and South Poles had subtropical climates, complete with palm trees and crocodiles. But it's unlikely to occur in the foreseeable future.

Have you got any idea of what you are saying???The ice will melt propably in a few decades.And please dont tell me that you are thinking just the ice under the water cause there is ice over the ice wich has been there for thousands of years with out melting and for the first time we see it melting.I dont know about you but i am not prepared like the americans to just say i dont see it its not happening.

The information I gave to you previously, was found on a website regarding the polar ice caps, their rate of melting and the fact that there was no ice at one point in history. The polar bears and penguins seemed to have survived that impact. Humans have survived it. The world wasn't flooded at that time. Noah didn't live during that era.
However, we should still be envriomentally responsible. Earth's resources are limited. Gas prices are outrageous.

The carbon tax is just another political agenda. manufacturers having to pay the tax will pass on the costs to the consumer. It's a lose lose situation. The only winner is the government, lining their pockets. Where is the money going to go anyway? Not to fix the problem of green house gases, that's for sure.

7 Gigatons of C02 goes up the stack every year. It's a Greenhouse gas. Simple to understand.
It is also acidifying the ocean. The ocean used to be source for atmospheric C02, now it is a C02 sink. Exxon is studying pouring lime into the ocean to raise the ph.

the only reason exxon mobile would be studying pouring lime into the ocean, would be to further deplete the oceans food supply by poisoning the fish. LIME IS ONE OF THE MOST CORROSIVE COMPOUNDS AROUND, AND BECAUSE IT IS AN ALKALI DOES NOT MEAN IT DOESNT DO THE SAME THIG AS ACID TO LIVING ORGANISMS, IT DOES. by poisoning the food supply the filthy rich oil barons would be more in control, just like a global carbon tax its about emptying your pockets into theirs

GW must be true, just ask the 100 million dollar man, Al Gore. It's made him a lot of money. It's funny how all those who believe in evolution don't believe the earth could evolve and devolve. Now if you fill your waterways with trash, yes you have an effect on things. But CO2 as root cause of GW. Yea right. God does it over the coarse of the year as the seasons change. He changes things DRASTICALLY over longer periods. But in a 100 measley years man thinks he can change what God created.
