no offense, but those riders were like a b class track day rider over here..good lean but he is losing WAY to much corner speed. but its a gt3 :-p..But with a better rider that bike could gap him. if its an r1

good video. that r1 could have cornered a little quicker. rider makes a big difference..but he is a pretty good one for sure. good driver too..shows how little difference there is between performance car and a bike on the track. the rider would have gapped this porsche in the mountain roads..since its much smaller and has much easier lines .

The idea is that the car videos the bike. They both have to wait for each other so the bike stays in the shot. The bike could bugger off on the straights and the car could overtake in some of the corners. If they actually raced there would be no video...

NOPE!!! My dad has a Boxster S and we were riding thru the santa cruz mountains in california. a guy in his R6 came up behind us. mind you we weren't exactly taking it slow. he passed us on a STRAIGHT AWAY, NOT A CORNER. sure he may be fast as hell on the straights but after he passed us, we started to go even faster. mind you the Boxster is not nearley as fast as a GT3, but its still fast enough to scare people. we followed him so closeley that he might as well have followed us on the corners!

lol boxters. i have an sv650s, not exactly the fastest bike and i have a jolly wank over boxters as i fly by n never c em again. (nothing against porshers like they're apparently great cars) n when ur on a bike and u have a car up ur bum its horrible, u feel like hes gna nose punt u all the time. so u go slow. u dnt kno what kinda loon is in the car, n if u crash its a lot worst in a bike. OBV! so dnt go too close up a abikes arse in future. plz

Cars in generally are faster than bikes in corners, so nothing new under the sun. Till now I saw only one video where the car was pulling away on the straight parts on a R1 and ZX10R and it was a DTM CLK Mercedes, the reason is obvious :)
It;s normal that in most cases the bike goes away except the corners where the centrifugal force throws the bike earlier away than the car, because of the 2 wheels. On straight, a R1 hits 100 in under 3 secs, even a GT3 needs 4+, kg/Hp says its word :)
