That's fucking rediculous...4 out of 5 UFC champions right now are a Black Belt in Gracie or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
And Modern day Rules, and Time limits work against the very core of the BJJ Fight Strategy.

Kosen Judo was on two types of Jiu-Jitsu, witht the ground portion being re-introduced after it was destroyed by Fusen Ryu Jiu-Jitsu.

If any gracie or any bjj practitioner that would like to challenge, please step forward. Modern day Rules of sport fighting work against the core of the bjj fight strategy?? WHAT fight strategy? There isn't one... at all. And what the fuck are you talking about concerning Fusen Ryu? Fusen Ryu JUJUTSU was the ryuha that assisted the kodokan in their ne waza training in 1901. KOSEN JUDO IS THE PARENT ART OF BJJ! Its YOU who needs to learn your history. Helio and Whore-ian have ALWAYS lied to the public about where their family learned their wannabe style of grappling.

The Gracies have never once said that it isn't. They have always credited Maeda
and the Kodokan and Jigoro Kano. So jump the fuck off the Hate Grace's bandwagon.
No strategy? It's a core strategy that made Jiu Jitsu Effective. Evrything about sprt fighting goes against the Slow the Fight sown mantra we use...

Carlos is given His props, but He never taught the style that Helio does. His was more grounded in the original form Maeda taught. There are inovations, but those stemmed from BJJ as a whole; not necessarily the Gracies. There is a Difference between BJJ and what the Gracies Teach.
Carlos' style is still taught by the Machados, and in part, by Carlson Jr.

That's a good question, I am far from knowing it all, But IMO i think escaping the mount is very, very important. the last place you wanna be is underneath someone while they are dropping bombs on you.

I`ve been taken down by someone with a knife and controlled the arm without a problem. From my guard no less! I don`t recommend trying it, but it worked fine. I didn`t get cut.

Helio Gracie lost to Kimura... simple as. Size DOES matter, though.
In Japan they say "No one before or after Kimura" for a reason.. (or something along those lines XDD).
Jigoro Kano was a reformer moreso than a pioneer (which is what Helio is)... however in Kimura, Helio faced one of the few martial artists in the history of martial arts pre-1950, who had a SOLID well-rounded fight game.
