Six Tibet independence activists from the UK, US, and Canada (1) were detained today after rappelling from the top of the Great Wall of China with a 450-square foot protest banner reading "One World, One Dream, Free Tibet 2008" in English and Chinese. The dramatic action took place on the eve of the one-year countdown to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Tibet advocacy groups assert that China is attempting to use the 2008 Games as a tool to legitimize its illegal occupation of Tibet. Chinese authorities removed the activists after two hours; their current whereabouts are unknown.

we weren't even talking about Tibet, you brought that out of nowhere (it may be the video where we are debating, not what was being discussed) I agree old Tibet's serfdom way of ruling was poor, and medieval. I would like to see some proof that "95% of Tibetans were slaves" I am not 'against China' I just don't personally approve of their government (like many people) Is there some dark side to Falun Gong I should know?
I came fr country outside dat use t b under threat from chinese communist regime. Back then(70's) the communist is = devil. N i, 2; hate chinese gohmen like u. But after i stayed there >6 mths (1998) n get 2 know their ppl n their views 2ward their gohmen.. i slowly change my perception. 2day i have d highest respect 4 chinese n singapore's top leaders!! The want to do d best for its citizens.
Chinese is doing its best to feed its 1.3 billion population, it is an extremely difficult & delicate task, they dont need destructive disturbance to bring china into chaos, u might not like their way, but ur view is not relevant as most chinese approved their gohmnen, thats what's count!!

1)U actualy believe China is stil genuinely communist? The govrnment may claim tht 2 b the case, but it's so far frm the truth
2)Chinas policy is stil 2 concern itself only wth isues within its own borders, only involving itself internationally when it thinks other nations internal affairs are being dictated by other nations (only to defend it's own policy in Tibet)(so it vetoed over Malaysia)
