British WERE in ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
British WERE in charge, Iraq NOW is in charge. I'm answering the speaker in the video you referenced to me. If the speaker wants problem resolution, she should talk to her local government, not blame the US.
I was one of those ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
I was one of those well researched organizations. I was president of VFSN (Veterans and Families Support Network TN)from 1993 to 1995. I know about all the research - The Rockefeller report, etc. It was all a scam. I got out of it when I discovered my symptoms were from PTSD. I was treated and recovered in 1995. Yes, I reject the notion of GWS. You don't hear about it from current Iraq vets, do you?
The US is there to ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
The US is there to steal oil, but no proof can be produced unless I look for it. Same tired talking points. Grow up, indeed! I have more than a decade and a half on you plus I've experienced combat with men trying to kill me. I've killed twice, once face to face with a BFK. I've survived 3 marriages, 3 teenagers and an 88 year old mother-in-law. I've lived 2 lives, son. Show some respect.
Iraq is not in ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
Iraq is not in charge. The country is divided among Sunnis, Shias and Kurds. There is a civil war there and there is no denying it.
You are not well ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
You are not well researched and you have proved it time after time. The Rockefeller report? LOL! According to the VA, two years ago, GWS was attributed to the following: combustion products from depleted uranium munitions,
side-effects from the early 1990s' anthrax vaccine,
infectious diseases from parasites,
chemical weapons such as nerve gas or mustard gas,
and combinations of the above factors
I respect you, but ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
I respect you, but your ideas are flawed and must be challenged. I'm sorry that you have had so many struggles in your life, but that does not grant your argument any validity. Doing a simple web search is painless. The information is there for anyone to see.
Search for my name ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
Search for my name "Bates" cdc[dot]gov/nceh/publications/
gulfwar/report[dot]pdf. I know precisely what they claim causes it. DU, Antrax vacines are both still being used. Parasites are still there. No chemical weapons where used and if there was exposure, it was transitory. Pyridostigmine Bromide was proven innocuous. It was all speculation and never proven. I'm not debating this any longer. I'm the expert here.
You take things out ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
You take things out of context. I didn't offer my personal "struggles" to validate any argument. I don't know if you take things out of context on purpose or intentionally. If you want me to believe your point about oil, you'll have to do the legwork and provide facts. Don't ask me to prove your argument.
Ron Paul's words ... ( 7 months ago by mUNkEeREaPEr)
Ron Paul's words are so great! A true American candidate!
RON PAUL!
I love most of Dr. ... ( 7 months ago by GBanville)
I love most of Dr. Ron Paul's positions but the thing he says that makes me happiest in this video is toward the end, where he says he has changed his mind on the death penalty and opposes it.

Again, your own ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
Again, your own words testify against you. Don't blame me either for your laziness. I already proved my point with facts while you still claim that the British/Iraq are in charge of Basra. Many of my colleagues are veterans and they would never blunder such a simple fact about the conflict there.
LOL! Too many ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
LOL! Too many Bates there. I guess approximately 100,000 victorious conflict veterans from Desert Storm/Desert Shield could be wrong. You say that no chemical weapons were used, but then you contradict yourself by stating that "if there was exposure, it was transitory."
arcblatt: I can't ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
arcblatt: I can't be any clearer about what I said concerning Basra. To try and exploit that out of context shows how dishonorable you are. But that shouldn't surprise me. "If you can't win an argument with fact, try lying." Right?
arcblatt: There's ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
arcblatt: There's only one Bates in the document. I was referring to transitory exposure from destroying enemy chemical weapons caches after the cease fire. You didn't even read the document, did you? Chemical weapons were not deployed by the Enemy during the fighting.
Your words speak ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
Your words speak for themselves. You said it and now you accuse me of what you are continually doing. It is your own posting against yourself and that is regrettable if in fact you are a veteran as you claim that you are. Instead of believing everything that you are told, you should do some investigation of your own.
There are plenty of ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
There are plenty of documents in the CDC and there are many Bates that are rendered by the search. While the enemy did not deploy chemical weapons, it is a fact that we used depleted uranium. The VA, the Pentagon and other sources have stated that the GWS is real, and that while it's origin is unknown, its effects have been felt by thousands of our troops.
arcblatt: If you ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
arcblatt: If you want to be technical, yes its real. But but its not caused by DU, prophylactic vaccines or chemical weapons. Its PTSD, indigenous pathogens and hysteria. I gave you a link to find the document. Enough of your excuses.
Totally agree, its ... ( 7 months ago by roflcopter2006)
Totally agree, its nice when a politician can change their position and give an honest and genuine reason for doing so.
Mitt "flip floppin" Romney should take notes.
The link to the CDC ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
The link to the CDC does not contain any information about it. You asked that I search for Bates, which rendered multiple hits without any conclusive information about your claims. Even worse is your gross argument that the Gulf War's PTSD is any different from other conflicts. It is not called the "Gulf War Syndrome" for nothing and you are the one that has given excuses so far. Your evidence is not concrete, just as your arguments.
I'm arguing against ... ( 7 months ago by batesm)
I'm arguing against something I'm represented as having/exposed to/victim of. I think I have grounds to do just that whether it be from this side of the fence or the other. You however, are not a GW veteran and thus have no standing. Yet you preserver as if you're going to vanquish me, the windmill. It is what it is, arcblatt. I could say nothing and still win the argument. So that's what I intend to do. Have a nice day.
You are running out ... ( 7 months ago by arcblatt)
You are running out of munition. Making assumptions about me will not do you any good. In any event, Mr. Windmill, your argument has not held one valid point throughout this discussion. Your postings are full of flip-flops and this is not the kind of argument that you win with silence. Have a nice day as well.
