We thought about it and realized that a "Top Five" list would never give tribute to all the great anime openings. So here is a list of what most anime fans agree are the top 20 best anime openings.

Are you crazy, Neon Genesis has got to be one of the best animes that I have ever watched. It is the one that is so complex, and philosophical. Like honestly, have you actually sat down and thought about what you are watching, the characters lives being torn apart. and everything else?
Death Note Op=Awesome!
Nice to see Inuyasha and FMA as well. I must say though my fav Inuyasha op is Change the World(first one) and I love the endings more than the openings. ^o) go figure :P

I saw that one Inuyasha OP, but I didn't see any others O_o And I thought that was the first FMA op? That's the one I see for the first episode.... and how many people feel that the song at the very end sounds like a Japanese version of "Complicated"?

Wow, only one anime from 1996 (EVA) and nothing else from before then? I am completely and utterly disappointed.
Sorry, this list was weak, weak, weak. So much of it was just a bunch of sappy moe boring stuff, and so painfully generic. I suggest delving back into the history of anime, and seeing some actual bad-ass rocking openings, like "Rock the Planet" from Urusei Yatsura, or "Tough Boy" from Hokuto no Ken. Kids today, sheesh. Even the GaoGaiGar opening has more guts than this stuff.
