Relax Dude i know who all those bands were & when they came out...i don't remember why i wrote that Green River thing, but i just meant they we're a predominant influence...
But Malfunkshun wasn't Grunge...Mudhoney came after Green River & Soundgarden was just my least favorite from the big four...
Just an opinion tho...don't need 2 get all worked up.

This song IS THE BEST SONG IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD. There is exactly nothing wrong with it great lyrics, great voice, Great video, great band. If you dont like any of that then get the hell out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to look up Deep Six and see who is considered the first grunge bands. Malfunkshun, U-Men, Green River, Skin Yard, Soundgarden and Melvins were the first to be called "grunge", name given by Mark Arm of Mudhoney. Nirvana wouldn't even be under the genre until they saw a Black Flag concert and incorporated angst into their metal. Do some research, dude. Soundgarden was the first to go with a major label.

This sounds like Cornell's singing in Audioslave. Audioslave should cover this song, it would be so nice. This must be Soundgarden's post-grunge days.

soundgarden never had post-grunge days,post grunge refers to bands that started to emerge after 1992-till the present who were influenced by grunge like candlebox,live, collective soul e.t.c. this is grunge but for there last album(1996) they did tunes with less heavy riffing which was a trademark of soundgarden but not necessarly a trademark of grunge but it still has the loud quiet dynamic the angst sounding lyrics

Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine are both better than Audioslave, but Audioslave is a good band. And Audioslave is really just Cornell as lead singer of Rage. All three great bands, but cant really decide out of Rage and Soundgarden which I like better. Both r too different u know.

Soundgarden is the most grunge band from those days, go back and listen to Screaming Life/Fopp and its fast punk influenced grunge. Badmotorfinger is more heavy grunge(like Alice In Chains), Superunknown is grunge period then Down On The Upside is your softer grunge.
Other grunge bands focused on their one brand of the genera, SG was always evolving.
Audioslave broke up about a year ago, they did cover some Sg songs, such as Slaves and Bulldozers and Outshined but they were only seen live.

God i hate that term, "grunge". To me, soundgarden were just a unique band that played music they loved, influenced from bands they had grown up listening too! They were a blend of a tonne of styles, from Sludge to psychedelic to metal and then some ;)
