| jasberry13, I did this and it works! You only need one network card installed on the main computer. Plug one end of the networking cable you cut and spliced back together into the main computer's network card and plug the other end of the cable into the other computer you want to network. Then follow the setup instructions in this video. And volia1 You have a small network! |

| Well if you are out in the woods miles away from civilization and want to connect 2 computers then ok ... otherwise you just buy crosswired which is exactly the same only that the cables on the clips are crossed instead your way(google it). Nice on the how to network 2 computers though. I ve bought and made myself crosswired cables in the past. Furthermore by that way (theoretically at least) u create a bigger resistor on the cable (i.e. less transfer rate than the optimum-slight but still-) |
