"Runaway" - Jamiroquai, Bass Guitar

Video Description:
Hey I did this today while testing some recording equipment. I know some parts in the bass line are rushed, I went through them a little too fast, but this video was meant to test syncing between Garageband and iMovie, and my Little Mark II amp into my M-Audio Mobile Pre USB interface. There's some slap bass at the end if you're interested.
In any case, criticism would be cool.
By the way, this was done on my Skjold Custom 5 bass guitar. A beautiful instrument and a wonderful sound.

Pete Skjold knows what he's doing when it comes to building basses. Pete showed me a couple of his basses and let me play one of these at a guitar show a couple of years back and my God... I still can't get over how well it played, felt, and sounded. I only picked up one once!!

Try and sit back on the beat a bit - your just on top of it a bit. Just need to sit in the groove a bit more - nice playing tho altho ur missing the slide up to the high D and Db.

True but it's a great advantage to go into a band having a strong groove feel - that way they all look to you to really set the time. Jamiroquai's great stuff but i'd also suggest some motown stuff - james jamerson bass lines - that's the definition of groovy playing!
