War determines two things, 1 who is right and 2 who is left. The one that wins is right, obviously, but the ones that are left are a varying group. We have the ones affected and the not affected. The affected ones are does with trauma, both physical and psychological, the unaffected, well they are unaffected. Usually does left and affected, suffer a lot. Therefore we can say that war is a mincer, in one end goes soldiers and civilians and out comes, well meat. Therefore we should not make war!

I offer my thanks to her and her fellows for serving our country. The line is drawn somewhere, and someone has to stand firm to protect it. My family is full of such people. My heart goes out to this young lady and to the others we have known to be injured and killed.

Danielle, Thank you so very very much for your valiant sacrifice and for all you and your fellow servicemen have done for our country. It is only necessary to read the rantings of Al-Qaeda and their ilk to realize they are intent on destroying the United States, our way of life, and the freedoms we represent. Freedoms for women to pursue education and their dreams and for all of us to have freedom of choice in religion and life style as long as it doesn't harm others. Bless you Danielle

War is going to happen no matter what you try and do to stop it. Mankind is a territorial animal and wars form part of territory policing. Better get used to it because its going to happen a lot in the future. And by the future,i mean the very near future.

I too am a vet. As long as there are people, there will be wars and if the bad guys feel they can kill you or enslave you, they will. Yeah war sucks, but there are people out there who feel that if you don't bow to their beliefs, you die..they say it every day. No compromise, no talking, no negotiation. You die. Freedom isn't free.

Ummm... Did you watch the video? I don't remember a tourist mentioned. She's a specialist in the army, and was wounded in battle. Not that I know you, but I think I can make a reasonable guess that you are one of the people who don't support her or what she is doing.
She's a frickin hero, but nobody is willing to recognize that fact. And by nobody, I mean YOU specifically.

It sucks that delusional terrorists exist, and that our country has to be on the defensive now, but we really do. These "evil doers" (yes, that is a good description for them) really will stop at nothing. Let's face it, our country will be at war, whether we leave Iraq or not. It's not going to matter if we leave.

Unfortunately-just because people had to make sacrifices like this doesn't mean they NEEDED to. Thats the fucked up thing-really she lost her arm for no reason....no reason at all. I respect her strength, and her sacrifice-but I would be lying if I said it protected America from anything.

I appreciate what the troops are doing for us.
We do need to get out of Iraq as soon as possible, but the war won't be over when we do.
