Perry had an awesome voice, but his replacement, Arnel is every bit as good, and has I think more range and better pitch. Neal Schon has always been by far the most talented musician of this group. He's the one who formed the group in 75 and wrote most the songs and one of the best lead guitarist in the world...right up there with Clapton and Santana.

reoufo, I agree with your comment 100%. I just bought the new Journey Revelation CD pack and I love it. For the past two months I had been listening to Arnel sing with Journey on YouTube, but after seeing and hearing him sing on live on their concert CD in surround sound, I have a new appreciation for his singing skills. He sounds fantastic live and has great voice range. Steve Perry was great in his day, but Arnel is the new fresh voice of Journey.

PitoDaddy; My sister & her husband and my wife & I saw Journey in concert last Friday, Oct 3rd in Phoenix. They were spectacular as usual. Arnel voice was a perfect Perry saound alike, only stronger and he had much more energy on stage than Perry ever had. Neal Scon guitar work was masterful and Jonathan Cain keyboard was excellant. A truly magical evening with a GIANT classic rock artist.

Watching STEVE sing this song makes me wanna cry, I LOVE him SOOOOOO much!! Never really appreciated him when I was younger, I guess I just took their music for granted, always hearing it. Now I realize how SPECIAL he is!!!! I don't even listen to the new Journey,never will. LOVE STEVE PERRY 4ever!!!!

I saw Journey before Steve joined the band. They only had 4 guys and Gregg Rolie sang lead. I thought they were good, but they were more of a jam band. When Steve joined, he took them to a new level of songwriting and success. His replacements are talented singers, but there's only one Steve.

This was the first song I ever heard from them. Waiting in a History classroom to go to a track meet and it was on my "jambox".I listned and aked everyone who it was. I had barely heard rock ever being from the country. We woud take Steve back with Journey and other band players, but I wasn't taking Journey without Steve. I don't think he knows just how deeply he has touched us. I was 13 and now am 39 years very young. I am thankful for YouTube where I can see him. Most Handsome man out there!
