I love this song so much! One thing though; for some reason the excellent tambourine player stops playing ten seconds before the song ends.

This is the 1963 version being played. Lesley is lyp-syncing. The song is from Lesley Gore Sings of Mixed-Up Hearts (1963). Released as a single in 1965.

This has to be the wrost song of all time, but what can you expect when Leslie Gore is singing it. Leslie Gore had no personality when she sang anything. Gore mainly sang bubble gum songs that I personally consider no brainer music. To make it simple she is a terrible singer and her music sucks.

I disagree with you jeckalynne. Lesley had plenty of personality. Lesley did not always agree with her producer, Quincy Jones, on what songs to record, however, since he was the producer, he usually had final say on what she would record. Take a look at You Don't Own Me...now that is a song that is NOT bubblegum music. That song made a powerful statement for young girls, young women in 1964!

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, I still disagree. Lesley could sing. She survived the British invasion, being a consistant chart topper during the period....had a number 2 song, being kept out of number one spot by the Beatles (number 3 was also a Beatles song). I agree, Connie and Brenda were great singers of that time period also.
