When the Georgian tanks were rolling through Ossetian villages and Georgian shells falling on the Ossetian capitol the western media was silent. This is why all the confusion in the west.
Only when Russia moved in to protect the Ossetians they suddenly woken up because they realized that the Ossetians would not be subjugated by Georgia easily. Then McCain announced that they were "all Georgians".

When I heard there were soldiers in Georgia I thought they meant the USA State, not some area near Russia.
*sigh*
