"In September 2006 Wong Fu Productions teamed up with Magnetic North, a talented and rising Asian American hip hop group, to create a music video for their single "Drift Away"
While the rap duo was in Northern California, and the Wong Fu boys were down in the South, much planning and preparations had to be made long distance.
In one trip up north, the video was shot in two intense shooting days around the San Francisco Bay Area. The Mission district, Berkeley, and Fremont were all locations for the video.
Magnetic North had been performing and gaining attention for a few years, but with the help of Wong Fu, they hope that this video will expose them to a new and larger audience.
For Wong Fu Productions, this video is also important because it is the first video they have made for an artist. Moving forward past lip syncing existing songs, Wong Fu/ Sketchbook Media hopes to continue creating videos for music artsits and groups."
