Video Description:
The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo on the Gong Show. This was seen originally in 1976. This had been sitting on my shelf for years. I figured all old time Boingo fans may enjoy this. I still have about 25 stubs from all the Boingo concerts I saw, and never missed the annual Halloween show. It appears the guy with the rocket is Danny's brother Richard, and Danny is playing the Trombone. Thanks Oingo Boingo for all the years of great music, there was nothing like it! M.C.

Thanks for posting. I knew the band only from their later New Wave days. It's interesting to see that in this earlier version, they actually had a bit in common with Split Enz (another "unclassifiable" and weird mid-70s band that morphed into more straightforward New Wave).

Did anyone notice that Danny Elfman is not the fake red haired frontman? lol, how sneaky and mystic is that??!!!
He's one of the regular band members with white and purple face paint. His face is very different and you can tell around 4:08 on the right side of the screen, you can capture him.
