We could have won the Vietnam war but there were to many restrictions due to political reasons.
One U.S. interrogation technique was to take several prisoners up in a helicopter. They would ask them stuff, and being proud Vietnamese they would refuse to talk. So they would throw them from the helicopter and the other prisoners would talk.
