I don't mind the part where he removes most of the notes, this is in fact encouraging for beginners, but changing the timing is a sin. I don't understand why people do this, it so sad.

He's obviously not untalented... just look at his other pieces which he performs. This just was a terrible 'new' rendition of this piece. Nobody's perfect, so I guess he had to have one bad egg in his basket. :( As far as his talent though, I encourage you to look at some other videos of him on here. He's magnificent.

The simpler rhythm works better for me, and I find it more romantic.

That's not a "variation" it's simply the same as packaged food in a supermarket is not real food at all. Your taste buds, like your ears, have no real experience to base their perceptions on, that's probably why contemporary listeners "like" it they've made it easy listening. It's just a junk interpretation with added fetish wear to spice up the visual marketing. The true meaning is lost, there was no such choreography or sex in the original score, your art is more original and cooler THE END!

BANGS, your monitors are too close to your head, get a better stereo or go see the thing for real (i'll pay). Then you might understand the dynamics and emotion, the craft and soul, the SEX is in your head....get some sleep you need a rest after this dialog. I did say THE END and I mean it :-)

Maksim wanted to play the variation differently. If you want to hear the piece the way it is go comment on other videos. WTF is your problem with that? For those who question him just watch him playing the flight of the bumblebee.
