actually the suns only made the finals once they had their chance in '95 and then they blew a 3-1 lead against the rockets. todays suns would have won a few times if it hadn't been for the spurs and they should have won in '07 but david stern basically gave the spurs the series.

Shaq was past his peak and leaving his prime by that point, the voters probably didn't go with James in 2006 because he was just 21, Duncan's best numbers were behind him by that stage, and Bryant has never shot .470 from the field in a season.
