In addition, after the talk about the film, the host moved on to another issue. But let's not forget that a few minutes ago, when he's arguing with Cheney, he did say let's talk about your book. I think that's a cheap shot.

Wolf Blitzer, if you are indeed a "serious journalist," in stead of taking whatever Democrats say so seriously, why not just do a true jouranlist does--> get the damn book and do the research on everything that Lynne Cheney has written, and see who's lying?
CNN clearly does not just hire 10 people, right?
I guess CNN is not better than Fox at all. Sadly, CNN thinks it is.
They're all the same. Journalists these days are not just biased. They are sure as lazy as hell.

i have no idea what your talking about... i did watch the clip.. they were talking about the news, she took the opportunity to call cnn biased, apperently wolf was supposed to sit there and take that, and when he tries to respond she gets all high and mighty... " i thought we were here to talk about my book" . She's the vice presidents wife, and a former republican pundit, and she showed it by simply repeating republican talking points

Is CNN biased? Well, we at least know for sure they are lazy. What's the best way to find out what Lynne Cheney wrote in "Sisters"? Get the book and read it or cite a statement put up by the Democratic CAMPAIGN Committee?

He asked her a question about what her husband, the vice president said, where he said waterboarding was ok to him... and he said it was, but that he had been criticized for it... she responds using the same old cnn and the media are biased, and that cnn distorted the truth with domestic survelence, wolf responded to her accusation, she kept going with it, he kept defending CNN.. then she's like i thought we were here to talk about the book..

And teh problem people have w/ torture, its never in a vacuum, you're never going to have the one guy that knows everything.. your going to have like 20 guys... 1 of them have real information, 10 of them have little knowledge, and 9 of them are going to be innocent....

And the real test of a democracy is how they respond when there is an emergency and people get scared.. In WW2 we responded poorly with the japanese camps, and its generally looked back at as a low point in america.
if you want a democracy, a real democracy with all the freedoms and liberties we claim, you have have to fight w/ one hand behind your back. Arbitrary arrests, indefinte detentions, no trials, rendition, and torture... they may very well be effective, but at what cost..

This isn't WWII where the conflict is short lived, this is something that is going to last decades.. and the amount of civil liberties which have been corroded in the last 6 years is astounding...
The idea that we are fighting a great evil, has been used many time over the centuries when governments try to take power. And what shocks me more than anything is that its the republican party, those who are supposed to be most fearful of the government, that is letting them do this.
