I'm glad he finally cleared this up, the way it was stated previously always made you think he was saying that they thought it was a mystery object, but in this interview he makes says they had a good idea what it was, most likely a piece of the booster assembly.

Very nice, wish there was a real science channel on cable, the science channels on now are marginal with an occasional. Science without politics for example.

He should have a very good idea how far away the panels would be in any given time due to the amount of force used to eject the panels. At some other point did he not state the object was "L" shaped. How reflective are these panels and can they be seen at 1000 miles away or however far way they should have been according to the time duration. Where is the rest of the information?

I am so glad that we have landed on the moon! This event has become a sort of test that ferrets out the conspiracy theorists and other nut-jobs. As soon as someone alleges that we did not land there (and we DID, over and over again), the critical thinkers among us can safely discard the rest of their comments. We left rovers, mirror prisms (detectable from earth), lunar landers, etc. and brought back video, hundreds of pounds of moon rocks and six missions worth of astronauts!

Jim Clash looks a little annoyed like he woke up that morning and expected Buzz to blow an o-ring and stop towing the party line on his show. A hope in a festival of contradictions.

First, I have the greatest respect for Buzz Aldrin and the Apollo 11 crew. I believe him when he says that the object was one of four panels. The explanation is very simple and credible.
However, if I could, I would like to ask Mr. Aldrin:
This issue has caused a great deal of unproductive speculation and debate since 1969.
1. When did Mr. Aldrin first come to believe that the unknown object was an LM shroud panel?
2. Why has it taken almost 40 years for this to be made public?

Just a sec, what has he 'cleared up'? He did not recant his original statement, he admitted that what he saw 'may' have been man made, and simply repeated the NASA line of 'insinuate that anyone who knows that extra-terrestrial life is on the earth is a crook'. Well I have news for Mr Aldrin and anyone else who is reading this. I have had one 2" from my nose. They are here and have been for many years. NASA is lying, pure and simple. 100% absolutely, they are here. I know it.
