It's great that you can see these performances on YouTube. I saw the Trio three times live in the 1960's, and they were fantastic, dynamic performers. Their studio recordings are still among the best sounding in all of record-dom.

Along with being great musicians, they were hilarious ad-libbing and poking fun at each other. One time Nick broke a string and said I'm going to get another string. In reality he had a backup he just grabbed.
