Zab was very close to putting Cotto down several times. Cotto can be hurt, but he recovers from a tough shot very quickly because he's tough. Face it, his chin can be rocked. I think Shane is going to put him down at least once in their fight.

Ricardo Torres dropped him and hurt him several times @ 140. He's only had 3 fights at 147, and 2 of 3 were not guys who had the ability to drop him. Tito is one dimensional and I do believe that Cotto is a better boxer, but Tito's power, strength, and size would be too much for Cotto.

He *should* have been up big time after 11 rounds against a walking heavy bag like Estrada. Berto hasn't shown enough to warrant a fight against any top contender at 147 as of right now. Even the guys in the bottom half of the top 10 would snuff him. He has good potential though.

Means he's the champ now and can defend the belt until the original champ comes back from his injury. Then both champs have to fight to decide which is the true champ.

The little guy is way off. Trinidad would destroy Cotto. He said Cotto could do what Hopkins and Wright did to Trinidad?!?!........ One of the dumbest things ever spoken on the subject of this matchup. Shameful.

Trinidad was a harder puncher, his punches were sharper and shorter. Yeah, Cotto could probably drop Tito in the 2nd, but when tito gets up, Cotto is in trouble. Sure, Cotto has decent boxing ability, but Tito has walked down better pure boxer then Cotto. Carr, Reid, and even an older Whitaker were better movers then Cotto.

During exchanges, Trinidad would have an edge, his defense short to mid-range was tight, while Cotto can sqaure up at times, and that leaves him open for a hook, or uppertcut. Tito would eventually reach Cotto chin even if Miguel decided to stick and move.

What i dont agree with is your "most belts" theory.I mean Ricky Hatton didnt have a belt at 140 but no one can really argue hes the best junior welter in the world.His fight against Castillo wasnt even for a recognised title

I think Trinidad is too fast for Cotto, Cotto doesn't move his upper body enough, and Trinidad would get to his chin. But Trinidad doesn't really throw an uppercut which Cotto's kryptonite, so maybe Cotto has a chance to survive, in which he could wear down Trinidad with body punches. But I would take Trinidad. All in all another great show.
