1234, It seems easy. First, get in your car and go driving. Then, you put your tongue like when you say "Ennn". Keep your tongue like that and say "NNNNN" like popeye. You know, use a raspy voice. You can use an 'ooo' sound too but I think the raspy N works best for me. Now, to get the different pitches, you make the back of your tongue go up and down in the back to make the chamber bigger / smaller. I haven't quite gotten it right but its kinda working as time goes by.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention to keep your tongue relaxed. (my other nooby mistake) you're not trying to push out your front teeth. Makes your tongue hurt.

Yeah. This isn't what is commonly known as "throat singing" as from Mongolia or Tibet, with the prominent overtones. It's more like a rhythmic growling. And it's a game between two people. They do it for fun.

back then we inuit didnt have anything to make music so we start using our throats . and its part of our culture .

Amazing, just started listening to throat singing, when I heard the Mongolian styles and Tuvan I immediately recognised some Native American sounds and wondered if the Alaska area did something similiar ,now I know. Amazing!
