Is the skyview a goodtelescope for depp space astrophotography?

The optics on mine were top notch and the mount is rock solid, out of the box. I first added the standard motor drives that Orion makes for the Pro Mount to start astrophotography, and they work fine for exposures say under 1 min but a Periodic error blurred any deep long exposures.

thats the scope i use. Its important to get a good cam too I have a Canon20D which Canon designed to use in astrophotography, its only fault is its weight which is like 7 ounces over the rated weight the EQ mount can handle, to start you cant ask for a better rig

Thanks for posting your pictures. They were fantastic, I needed to slow down the speed they were displayed at to enjoy them throughly.

Ok he was doing astrophotography, you dont need a HUGE telescope to get quality pictures in fact many good pictures have been taken with 120mm apo ed refractors. Granted if you are doing visual stuff a 12 or 14 inch telescope is nice but still not really needed to get some good views of stuff. A eight inch scope is not a "micky mouse" telescope.
