These are great commercials. They make me wish the company was still in business; even though I don't own a pet I might have ordered something from them just because the ads are so much fun and to get one of those cool-looking shipping boxes.

Yes, these ads are absolutely symbolic of the year 1999 in America. Pets dot comm was the poster company for the dot comm revolution (before it turned into a "bubble") and the ads were played everywhere constantly. Seeing them again is like traveling back to the happy times at the end of the 20th century, before the bubble burst, before the 2000 election, before 9/11, before the Iraq war, before the world went mad.

I was thinking the same thing, except all that Y2K stuff everyone talked about. Funny how these bubbles always burst before an election. What will the world be like in 2016? Its anyone's guess.
