He could be faking. However, it could also be that the audio is nowhere near the video. Very off-sync, but the vocals are also out of sync.

I think you've been fooled by bad vid quality. He is not, I repeat, not faking. I've been playing for 20+ years and it's a little out of sync sure, but his hands are right where they're supposed to be for this song.

Really nice picking and the singing is in key, heck all things considered it's not bad at all, with better sound equipment to sweeten it up like the pros have he could do fine. I sure wish I could play that nicely .
