im thinking about buying a synth and was wondering do you have to be able to play piano/keyboard to have one? and can you record things on there and repeat them?
is it easy to play/use?

i use that at school, to record my guitar onto it and put the drums and stuff in the background frm the keyboard at schooL! so u can plug it in and record?yays!

Excuse my mistakes my english isn't perfect ;)
And as for playing piano.
It helps to know a bit.
Basic scales etc.
But the arpeggiator help a lot

Also can you preset sounds/phrases onto the white squars and then press them when you want them to come in?

I've got around 40 tracks of audio on Cubase VST. Now, what I want to be able to do is to separate all those tracks onto a 48 channel mixing desk, but I only have stereo outs on the PC. What hardware do I need to separate the audio tracks on Cubase? Cheers.
