MCR sounds the same in every song. The reason why they've sold 10 million albums is simply because they followed the mainstream pop-rock and emo style rather than doing something original. Mostly emo girls and boys like them anyway. Goth, such as Bauhaus, is so much more real than Emo, such as MCR.

I agree with mostly everything you just said especially loving the song just for being great. But I'm pretty sure Bauhaus doesn't hate the term Goth or Gothic used to describe them because they pretty much started it and accepted it through clothing and music. There's no way we could know for sure of course. Anyway, cheers!
