she draws inspiration also from literature a lot. you should check "the devil"(sounds familiar, doesn´t it?) by tolstoj and you´ll definitely find some familiar passages.

i believe, cause "the devil" was far more daunting by pj. but i´ll read war and peace when i get older, hope iĺl see things differently. "the devil" is actually a short story.
by the way some other songs are inspired by Elfridke Jelinek-Pianist and Flannery o´connor short stories. if you know about some other literature, please let me know.:)

A great book to read is 'Crime and Punishment' by Dostoyevsky, or 'Wuthering Heights' by Emile Bronte. You should read 'Perfume' by Patrick Suskind, that's brilliant! Don't wait until you're a "Starey Hui" to read war and peace, just try it and see what happens. The chapters are short which makes it easier. :)

Typo in my previous comment. I'm on the verge of tears everytime I listen to this song. How can anyone write like this? It's almost vulgar. It's Sylvia Plath cum Virginia Woolf revisited.

Ive hyped this song to anyone who would listen. Ive been with PJ since Dry was released, and this album is not so much a difference in tone as in attitude- youre getting a glimpse of what the sound of resolve is. Dear Darkness has the lyrical genius of Elliot Smith combined with the cadence of a European deathmarch. I find it uplifting and finally granting that glimpse of ephemeral that many of us have been waiting for.

Her new album is genius. The woman is genius, in fact..:) Endless love for her and her music ^^. Her concert this summer is the best live show I've ever been to, and ever will. It was so beautiful and raw, I almost couldn't believe I was sitting there having that experience..It was kinda an out-of-the-body-experience...And the sound was amazing (it was in an opera house).
