External PSP Dualshock Controller

Video Description:
This video shows a PSP-1001 being controlled with an external DualShock controller. This is achieved completely through hardware modification and can be done with any firmware. Both the PSP and the controller have been modified internally to make this work, and a custom detachable cable was made to interface them.

The PSP retains all of its original functionality and portability, while the external controller provides some additional control scheme advantages and a much more ergonomic alternative when using the PSP at home (particularly for people like myself with larger than average hands).
The games shown in the video are:
Crush (Puzzle/Platformer) - a great game
Coded Arms (FPS) - not a great game

Where did you get the controller from? First I though it's just a regular PS2 controller but then I check my and the plug are different.

PSP does have some nice graphics, but I'm a big first person shooter fan, and the PSP just can't compete with the control of DS FPS games like Metroid Hunters. I had a PSP, and it just seemed to delicate to be a real "portable console". Not that the DS is rock solid, but the original Game Boy could really take a beating and shrug it off.

Dude this is NOT Fake, he wired all of the controls on the PSP through the pins, then to a custom 25 pin port, which connects with the male connector, and is re wired on the inside of the PS2 Controller, and when they are connected, it serves as a separate game pad...

He didn't need a plugin, the PSP will work without it, what happens is there are the ribbon cables, and there a ton of wires in a smaller cable, and they have leads or holes where you can poke the wires through, and he soldered the wires on there, and to the white piece... so when he plugs in the controller and he connected the pressure pad, it went over the cable, to the pin, and made it work.

It isn't very hard to do, but you must do a lot of work. You must solder all those wires and the connector.
But if you know where and what you must solder, it's easy.
