Defining gay marriage restricts religious liberty (In Massachusetts Catholic charities can't adopt out as their doctrine is "discriminatory") and restricts parental rights (In Massachusetts, homosexual fairy tales were taught as equal treatment without parental authority). I want to protect my kids against what I, as a parent, feel is morally wrong. What about my rights? Why take over the definition of marriage? Domestic partnerships give gays ALL of the same rights. I truly don't care who you marry- ANYONE. Anyone implies a consenting adult. It means "any PERSON." Your dog, your computer, your foot, cannot consent, and are not people. But, to be honest? If you would allow to homosexuals to marry people of the opposite sex, then they must be fit to make that decision, then why should they be denied the right to choose each other? I could argue that heterosexual marriage restricts the right of gay parents for the same reason. Their kids are "forced" to hear hetero stories/fairy tales ALL THE TIME in school.
