You think it isn't positive because over a century of skewed paradigms gave rise to stereotypes. Not all latinos are gang members and they are not stupid. In a historical sense, their immigration here, which was aided by OUR government by the way, gave rise to one of hte most explosive economic booms in american history. And they are still providing labor and not just in menial tasks, but more official and higher paying. Unless you have a degree in immigration history, don't talk, dumbass.

I don't speak for many and I don't pretend to be a spokesperson for anti-immigration. I do believe that the US should have control of the border. I also believe we should make it easier for legal immigration of our southern border without compromising it's integrity.

illegal immigration did not technically begin in 1492 because hte notion of the term "immigration" and not "migration" involves established state and national boundaries, therefore it is only a modern concept...but i do get your point so don't worry lol

gsf as I stated just a moment ago. I think the US should have control of it's borders. My immigration history is pretty personal. My dad is just a recently naturalized citizen. I have worked as a construction superintendent for a new home builder for 4 years (recently laid off). I admire and respect the guys that worked for my contractors. It doesn't change the fact I still have some bad elements among them.

Well perpetuating those kind of things never has good consequences. What are these bad elements? and more importantly, where was your father born if you don't mind telling me, of course. I have a decent knowledge of general southern american countries and their reasons for immigration and cuba. My knowledge on mexico (1876-1920) as well as immigration policies (that dont adress the real problem)that followed.

My dad is from Venezuela and my stepmom was born in Havana. I lived in Venezuela when I was young but I was actually born in Miami. i have been in Texas ever since I got out of the US Navy(1996).
I was having all manner of things stolen. Appliances, tools, equipment, copper tubing and wiring. I'm going to say that about half of that was stolen by people who had nothing to with us. The rest were probably guys that worked for us. I also had a concrete laborer shoot one his coworkers.

The shooting was committed by a guy with a criminal and violent history I was told from the other guys who knew him. The kind of person who would have never been able to enter the country if we had better control of the borders.

How about the people who use debt to control their immigrant laborers so they will always work for them, or how about those same people who give them shitty living/working conditions, and those who hire people to kidnap women and young girls to be forced into prostitution who are of american decent? get your opinions straight

i do'nt blame your parents for immigrating. The downfall in living conditions in venezuela as well as the government in cuba would make me ileally immigrate lol. Well accept for your mother, she was not considered an undocumented immigrant because if she was alive when castro came to power, she would be considered a political refugee and be granted asylum in the united states. don't u just love the double standards?> lol

texas isn't taht bad...im using hte railroads of texas in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century as well as labor demand of american contractors, and (run-on sentence i know lol) as well as the administration of porfirio diaz and his policies of industrialization that displaced over a 30 year period over 10% of the rural farmers...basically in laymens terms that is my paper lol, which is 32 pages long

eh sorry, im just so use to people being thatway i start to assume that...plus i thought it was someone else who was commenting and not you lol. Technically it is a crime but i feel it is a necessary crime in order to escape from delapidated conditions in general. The elections are over so you have nothing to worry about there. One of my best friends in Miami is jewish. I was the best man at his wedding and had a blast. Imagine a jewish family and a catholic family partying together. (his Cuban american bride is catholic) Was one hellavu a party.

the funny thing is that she called me a bigot a few months ago, we get into random fights cuz i do something stupid usually. This video is a great example of Inconsistency Ad Hominem, which is used extensively. The "illegal immigration" by settlers hundreds of years ago, no matter how unjustified or brutal, does not mean it is perfectly OK for other "settlers" to do the same today. The core of the issue involves -illegal- immigrants, who might be working for under minimum wage, driving around with fake IDs and licenses, getting free welfare, stealing, killing, or anything else under the radar...NOT -legal- immigrants.
