stigmata is a greek word for marks on the body ie scars, sores, bumps and so forth. now obviously judging from brad's tone of voice he is saying that the "priest" heard something that sounded similar to stigmata in pronunciation but was in fact something else possibly church related. that's all i got on this hope i helped =)

i believe in the christian (cathlic) religion, stigmata is a term that where a person would like to imitate or feel the pain that christ did on the cross.. like the blood, bruises, beatings etc.. hopefully that helped if it's still relevant, lol...
