| It still doesn't, but I think the station has adjusted well in the 7 years since the split. Ed Harding becomes the new lead anchor (the spot held by Chet and then Anthony Everett) on 3/26/07. |

| It has to be 3/19, since 'CVB replaced the old WHDH-TV on 3/19/72 and they always aired these specials on the exact anniversary (including the 25th). |

| Well that's unusual, but I do recall the station's 25th anniversary special airing on 3/19/97. I distinctly remember Peter Jennings, when narrating the history of Channel 5 in Boston, saying that 'CVB signed on at 3AM "25 years ago today", so I know that's correct. I also saw this anniversary show you are putting up, I swore it also aired on the birthday, but I am taking your word for it! :-) |
