Boeing 787 Dreamliner Rollout 7/8/07 Mary Win's unique view

Uploaded by: marywinmusic
Video Description:
Hi Everyone,
You know, even though I am a musician, I'm also a big fan of Science, Nature and Technology. So, when I heard that Boeing was going to rollout the new 787 Dreamliner and since I live just a few miles away, I just had to go. I figured that the plane's unveiling was an event that the international YouTube community would appreciate viewing.
The weather was perfect (low 70's) and the crowd was large and enthusiastic. When the plane first appears in this video it is really the rollout to the "Rollout" and was filmed while it was leaving the painting facility on its way to the "Big Rollout Gala" at the assembly plant. So, as far as I know my video has the only footage on YouTube of this "pre-rollout " :)
A special shout-out to my new friend Heather, whom I met today, and hails from Brisbane, Australia.
Cheers, Mary Win
P.S. To my subscribers who only subscribed for my music. Hopefully you still enjoy.

Hypsan - get your facts straight mate. Boeing needs the help of none other than a European Co to get the plane off the ground !In North America, Rolls-Royce employs more than 8,000 people in 66 locations in 26 states and seven sites in six Canadian provinces. The company's regional corporate headquarters is located in Reston, Virginia.

yes a delay is a delay, and I agree. But what is really worrisome, is that A380 delay was AFTER first flight and production problems related. The 787, hasn't had its first flight yet and it has already a 15 months delay and it has some technical issues and design issues. That suggests me that if there are production problems (likely it will), the whole 787 program delay is going to be even worse than A380 delay. And believe me, it is easier to calm down 15 customers than 54.

I'm A Navy Jet Mech and I think that plane is quite something. I believe the zig zag cowling on the aft part of the engine nacelle helps reduce noise levels. Rolls Royce is alright but we've had a fair share of mistakes on our T-56 engines delivered to us from the factory made by them. Would be interesting to see if the 787 spars could handle GE90-115B engines rated to 124,000+ per engine. Beautiful plane and hope I have a chance to ride on one.

Shut the fuck up you fag. Do you realize how hard it is to build a brand new airplane from scratch using all new materials? I work for Boeing, I know that hard work it takes to build these planes. Have a little respect you slimy little turd.

The 777 is a lot bigger, it's mostly an international plane. The 787 is going to replace the 737 for domestic flights. I work in the Boeing factory in Everett, I've seen the 787 up close, been inside it too. It is nowhere near the 777.

I never said it was near the 777. But the proposed 787-10 would come in this area. The question is what will Boeing do? Enlarge the 787-9 or upgrade the 777-300ER or Y3 to compete against the A350-1000? Anyway good luck to the 787 program hope we will see this nice bird soon in the air.

I'm with SexSteakSoda..Justclimb911 sounds like he got raped in the ass by some Boeing dude...I'm neither a Boeing or Airbus guy..who cares, but if you did some proper research before ruining this topic/vid with your propaganda shit..you would have noticed that over 2007..Boeing overall took 72 more orders than Airbus..

I guess one can argue the facts. There are more orders for the 787 than the A380. The A380 will be an eternal money loser. I think the A380 will break Airbus. Oops I forgot. Airbus is subsidized by the government. M y bad. It is just too damn big. The A350 is just a rehash of the A330 and A340. I have flown on both Airbus and Boeings. As long as I get there in one piece, I am happy.

Yeah and Boeing dont get any help from the Government at all do they?
The A350 is a totally new design not a re-hash of the A330/A340.
And as for re-hashes why does the Boeing 747-8 suddenly pop into my head.
