Scene from the movie "Rock around the Clock", 1956. Bill Haley and the Comets - See you Later Alligator. New Jerseyans may be interested to know that the Comets hailed from Chester, Pa. just across the Delaware River about ten miles south of Philadelphia; in the early fifties they appeared in clubs up and down the Jersey shore, playing their synthesis of Rhythm and Blues and country swing, the new music which came to be known as Rock and Roll. (See youtube clip on Origins of Rock and Roll.)

It's now 52 years later then when that scene was shot...I wonder how his double hip and knee replacement surgery went? He's got to be at least 75 now.
