I love this song too and I like your take on it but I have one question: are the lyrics real? Or does he just make various moaning sounds for most of the song? I've tried to look up the lyrics and all of the sites have a number of question marks scattered through varying interpretations of the few partially audible words.

I think the first line, if you watch some live shows, is just singing the notes hes playing. But then after that the lyrics are there. Hes just so cool of a singer he doesn't even need to sing audible lyrics.

definately a good cover, however covering black keys songs can be very frustrating when trying to get the song to sound right. In this case if I am not mistaken the kid is using a pick... The keys use some kind of chicken picking shit that is VERY difficult to master. but never the less honorable cover

man, thats good to know, i play w/o a pick and i've been picking some of thier stuff up, and like... half of it isint too bad, but the other half is just like... (0.0) (OMG!) i know a little about that blues fingerpicking style, i think it comes from banjo. i'mma hafta learn me some banjo i guess...

yeah, he never uses a pick hes got a funky ass picking technique that he makes sound killer. it messes with the timing a little

yea, you sort of got it...ish, the main riff isnt quite right.
and id almost advise not playing the verses the same as that sorta style is always very impro and off the top of the head..
its like whenever i play hendrix's little wing i never play it the same, blues really is all about how ur doing at the time and not whats written down.
keep practicing tho, you will get it shortly!

I totally agree with what you said. i love the blues and thats how it should be played. (go with the emotion that you are feeling and let it flow out of you). In my opinion though all music should be like that, it's the only way that it will sound like your in love with the music you are making, i figure if you don't love it, why should i? thanks for your comment.
