It's not a big deal 'soccerchick13. I dig TV On The Radio a lot, but it's been an acquired taste. There are a lot of things about this band that I was able to relate to before I checked them out. Like myself, they are art-school grads, and prior to discovering the band, I was loosely following the career of the lead-singer, Tunde Adebimpe, because he was an animator and is West African (again, like me). Even after that, it took a while for their music to grow on me, and still does in some ways.

Not to go on and on, but... like their art, these guys have a highly experimental approach to their music, and avoid typical conventions which is why their stuff sounds the way it does. Funny; their latest album actually sounds more radio-friendly and accessible than their last few projects. So, as a fan of TVOTR, who actually took a while to get into them, I'd ask you to just approach them differently, with a degree of patience. You don't have to like it, and you DO have your preferences.
