223 is a blender brush, like a 224 - its greta for softening colors, and blending the sharp edges on your eyeshadow.

and ive noticed the bristle color of the brush has faded a little..

Say you have to pay 20 for each..
and there are 25 brushes total. and you pick the ones you want..

gosh I like both - if you want something that works well in applying eyeshdow and blending it, then the 217 is best. If you are just looking for a great blending brush fo rthat purpose, then the 224 is your brush.
