Kid comes back. Don't know how, but she does. It just shows her getting stabbed one minute then later on in the game when you are trying to get your body back from Lynx, Kid is protecting you. Still not sure how she comes back.

I really love this game too. It's one of my all-time-faves! I love kid very much too. Sad that there was no sequel to this game. The ending is a little sad too. Although I was never able to finish the game because my cd got broken. @_@ I just watched the ending online.
