i think it's surprising that you can actually hear the bass. i really don't think it's to loud, because you can still clearly hear the other members of the trio, so what's the problem? i know that generally you can almost never hear the bass in most recordings, which could be why you think "it's a pitty".

Well, the thing with the bass is that this is not your regular band, the Bass is alot more important in this group, notice on most songs the bass has a solo, therefor, a loud bass.
Oh and by the way that drummer is insane! He took like some crazy rythm and music theory or something. Hiromi=:D
