The lyrics are interesting... The 80s were worse than the 90s? I'm not sure it's true. The 90s were incredibly greedy but less honest about it - and New Labour (not the same as Old Labour!) began a series of awful cutbacks and privatisations in the 90s - nowadays you can't even watch telly as a patient in a hospital in England without paying big bucks!
The 80s were not worse than the 90s - both were pretty awful. But the 80s were more honest.
