Yes, she is the late Sam Cooke's daughter, and just to tidy up a few more facts, Linda is married to Cecil Womack, Bobby Womack's younger brother. Bobby had married Linda's mother(march 1965) 3 months after Sam Cooke's murder(Dec 1964), they had divorced before Cecil and Linda became a pair. Oh,the wonders of google.

and to complete the picture, Sam Cooke, when he started his own record label shortly before his death, "discovered" the Womack brothers, and was the first one to record them. before marrying Sam Cooke's widow, Barbara, Bobby Womack (Linda's step father-cum-brother-in -law)was married to another singer - Motown Record's Mary Wells (of My Guy fame)!

I think one of the best things about this is the way the clip reflects the infectiousness of this song; how everyone just gets so into the groove; and they're not dressed up; it's like the camera crew just turned up during the session and shot it as it happened; no acting; completely real; and the bass player with his head thrown back!; I mean how could you not bop along to this; one of the all time great dance tracks; and totally unique; a little masterpiece!
